Riding Bikes All Summer Long!

My previous post discussed the top 20 things to do during summer and #13 just happens to be riding bikes all summer long.

Jeremiah started this summer just rising his tricycle, but he quickly switch over to his big boy bicycle with training wheels.
We really enjoyed spending the summer taking long bike rides as a family around the neighborhood.

Summer Bucketlist

Every year, we are summer soaked towards the end of the school year waiting for summer to just peak its head. This year has been no different. We were patiently waiting summer, so just like every year, we did our annual summer bucket list and enjoyed checking off every item on our list.

1.Summer Camp -

This is one of the top things I like to do, the children really love the different field trips and as a mom you can actually get a break. The kids don't have to be in summer camp all summer.Even a few weeks are good.

2.Local Zoo-

If you are in Miami, you know Zoo Miami is a fun place to take the kids so they can learn about animals,
feed animals, and enjoy a small splash pad and park with other children.

3.Water parks-

If you are local CB Smith Water Cove is the perfect place to stop by when its not raining. It has the coolest slides and play areas.

4.swimming lessons-

Every summer, I sign up my son for swimming lessons, this is especially important for those who live in Miami. We are surrounded by water, so knowing how to swim is casual.
5.Library

Every summer, children lose about two months of learning, it is especially important to signup to take them to the local library so they can continue reading and learning.
6.Train Ride-

I really enjoy taking my children to the train station, and just let them experience taking the train to nowhere. You can turn this into a learning field trip.

7.Parks and Splash pads-

If you are local, definitely check out Miramar Pinelands. Miramar Pinelands have both, a splash pad and a park. The children really enjoy this.
8.Beach-

This is a no brainer, summer would not be complete without a visit to the beach.
9.Plant a Garden-

Being the frugalista that I am, I love the benefits of planting and growing a garden. A. Free fruits, vegetables, and flowers- and the congregation said....AMEN!B. All organic fruits and vegetables. While there are many little hands available, this is the perfect time to enlist some help with the watering and planting process.
10. Learning Worksheets-
I always buy Daily Learning Drills and Summer Link Math plus reading for the coming school year grade. We usually do about 5 worksheets a week. This is a great way to keep their mind active during school.

11.Family Vacations
My personal favorite, my husband and I usually have two weeks off during the summer where its a must to go on a family vacation. The above pic is when we went on a five day cruise to Haiti and Jamaica.

12.Ice Skating-

13.riding bikes-

14.Parties
Jr has two cousins who celebrate birthdays in July, so we consider July our party month.

15.Bowling-

We absolutely love to go bowling in general, but going bowling in the summer is extra special.

16.Water Balloons
17.Watch Fireworks-

18.Movies- Jr went to see the Secret Life of Pets and Finding Dory.

19. Pool-We live in the pool during summer months.

20.Museums- Miami Children's Museum is a favorite every summer. This is a throwback pic when Jr was 3@ the museum.

Welcome

Welcome! Hello and THANK YOU so much for taking a second to check out my new blog, and learn about a recent decision I have made to start up "Simply Francie", a blog dedicated to my love for life and my passion for Jesus!! As many of you may know, I work full time as a Registered nurse and I've been a nurse for  a decade now. I am a wife and a mother to a wonderful school-age child. So why add more to my plate?

The answer is that I'm completely trusting in the Lord right now. In this blog, I will be praying, holding many in-depth bible studies, and yes video blogs. I will also be sharing my love for organizing and decorating my home. In this blog, I will display many learning activities, events, and children product reviews.

As for myself, I'm actually the heaviest I've ever been in my entire life. I will be completely changing my diet, exercising, and becoming a healthier me. I'm also starting a natural hair journey. I know, I'm super excited to join the family. So, you may be curious how you fit into all of this? Well, if anything, use this blog as a last resort for some hopefully interesting reading, on a lazy rainy day. If you find yourself wondering how is Simply Francie going, come and check in! As I am going to use this as a place to share all my many moments in my life. On top of that, I see this as a great place to connect with my sisters in Christ. I have a lot of burning questions for you readers, your tips and tricks, your opinions on my ideas and ministry, etc...!

Thanks again everyone! I'm super happy that you took time out to read this!
